ESOCS FAITH DOCTRINE

Faith is a fundamental aspect of many religions and belief systems, including Christianity. For Christians, faith is the anchor that holds us steady in times of trials and tribulations, and it is a vital component for living a life dedicated to Christ.

ESOCS IS FAITH BASED

At ESOCS, our entire congregation is built upon faith. We believe in God's Word, and we trust in His promises. The Bible tells us in Philippians 1:27 to "conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ." This means that we should live our lives in accordance with God's plan.

Moreover, Paul's letter to the Thessalonians states that we were "chosen as the first-fruits to be saved through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in the truth" (2 Thess. 2:13). Our salvation comes from having faith in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and receiving the Holy Spirit, which helps us to grow in our faith.

WE PRAY AND BELIEVE

Prayer is a vital component of faith. It is the way we communicate with God, and it strengthens our connection to Him. When we pray, we are acknowledging our dependence on Him and seeking His guidance.

In John 10:38, Jesus says, "But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." We believe in Jesus Christ, and we have faith that He is the Son of God who came to earth to save us from our sins.

OUR BELIEVE

Our belief is what drives us. It's what gives us the courage to face our fears and overcome challenges. In John 7:38, Jesus says, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." This means that when we have faith in Jesus, we will experience a deep sense of peace and joy.

Furthermore, Acts 16:31 tells us, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Our faith in Christ's salvation gives us hope for eternity, and it influences the way we live our lives here on earth.

WE HAVE FAITH IN OUR SALVATION

Our salvation is a gift from God, and we have faith in that gift. Jesus promises us in John 6:37, "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." Moreover, we are assured in John 6:40 and John 10:27-28 that no one can take away our salvation once we have received it.

In Romans 8:1, Paul says, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." This means that we are forgiven of our sins, and we have been made new in Christ. Our faith in our salvation inspires us to live a life dedicated to serving others and spreading the love of Christ.

FAITH IN THE GOSPELS

Lastly, our faith is grounded in the gospels. The book of Acts tells us that "the word of God continued to spread, and the number of disciples increased greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith" (Acts 6:7). We believe in the power of God's Word, and we trust that it has the ability to transform lives.

Paul tells us in Romans 1:5 that "through him [Jesus] we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith." Our faith leads us to obedience, and we strive to follow God's commands in our daily lives. Moreover, Galatians 1:23 states that the believers were "praising God because of me [Paul]." Our faith in the gospel should overflow into a life of worship and praise to God.

In conclusion, faith is a vital component of Christianity. It is through our faith that we are saved, and it is what gives us hope for eternity. At ESOCS, our congregation is built on faith, and we trust in God's promises. We pray and believe, have faith in our salvation, and have faith in the gospels. May our faith continue to grow as we seek to live a life that is pleasing to God.
